Family Farm: Fresh Recipes from Sweet Georgia P's
A lush garden grows beside an antique 1850s farmhouse in a quiet corner of Scituate. Droplets of dew glisten in the sunshine and nearby, beneath the umbrella of a massive oak tree, wooden boxes brim with a bounty of radishes, heirloom tomatoes, and leafy greens and a large mixing bowl cradles a mountain of fresh chicken eggs. Blessed with more than enough food to feed a single family, and motivated by a passion for fresh local ingredients, homeowners Rebecca and Joe Pimentel now operate a small but thriving Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm known as Sweet Georgia P's.

Pimentals start organic community farm
Scituate - Standing in their yard after a light rain, Joe and Rebecca Pimental of Scituate point out the different vegetables that will be in full bloom come the summer time.
There will be snap peas and green beans, tomatoes and peppers, herbs and different lettuces, they said.
But for now, there are rows of soil and the vegetables are seedlings, freshly planted, hidden beneath the surface getting ready to bloom, be green and start attracting attention — much like the goal of the Pimental family, which is to grow a local, organic community farm.
“The goal for us is to keep it completely local. Organic, fresh produce that’s seasonal — we want to bring it here and we want to try to build a community with it,” said Rebecca.
The Pimentals' new, organic, Community Supported Agriculture-certified farm, Sweet Georgia P’s, is located on First Parish Road in Scituate and will be open to the community this summer. Shares are being sold through May 15 for $675 and will provide residents with local produce twice a week for 20 weeks from June to October. Joe said the vegetables would be seasonal, and would be harvested no more than 48 hours before shareholders come to pick them up at their designated times.

SWEET GEORGIA P'S - EAT WELL, DO GOOD!
Sweet Georgia P's wants to provide you and your loved ones with truly local, healthy food. Anything they donʼt grow , they get from certified organic farms, right here in Massachusetts.
They run a CSA, Community Supported Agriculture. It means you invest in a "share" the beginning of the season, and every week 20 weeks June-October, you get a box of fresh, healthy, organic produce plus you're supporting local farmers!
-Choose a veggie share: Expect to see asparagus, basil, beets, broccoli, cucumbers, carrots, eggplant, edamame, greens, herbs, peppers, potatoes, spinach, corn, and of course many varieties of tomatoes. Local chefs will provide simple recipes to be included in weekly shares. Still intimidated by edamame? You may exchange any unwanted items.
-Or you can choose an organic egg share, or a cut flower share.
Pick up in Hingham, or at the farm in Scituate. You'll enjoy a fresh harvest, and the pride in supporting local organic farming.
